Andrew Forrer is a photographer living in Newcastle/Muloobinba on Awabakal Country, whose focus is on recording the marks that humans leave on the environment using his keen sense of observation.
Exploring his surroundings by travelling on foot or by bicycle in the style of a flâneur, Andrew searches for overlooked places and details, building a series of images that follow themes or ideas, often containing an underlying wry humour.
Andrew completed a Master of Documentary Photography at Sydney College of the Arts (SCA) producing two bodies of work, Coal River and The Lucky Country.
